“Beautiful War” is a song by American rock band Kings of Leon, and was written by lead vocalist Caleb Followill and his brother Jared Followill who also plays bass in the band.

The song was released in 2013 as the lead single from their sixth studio album, "Mechanical Bull" and was produced by Angelo Petraglia, who has collaborated with Kings of Leon on a number of their albums.

It features a powerful, emotive guitar melody that builds to a sweeping, anthemic chorus alongside lyrics of exploring the themes of struggle, love and redemption. The original version features lush harmonies, layered guitars and driving percussion to create the distinctive and anthemic, uplifting sound that Kings of Leon do so well.
