The song was released as the lead single from his debut, self-titled album, Hozier on Rubyworks Records in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"Take Me to Church\" tells the story of a man who has grown away from traditional religion and instead finds solace in his relationship with another person.
